Frequently Asked Questions about Maggie & Molly's Bakery
What type of ingredients do you use in your baked treats?
We use the best and highest quality ingredients we can find. We always use real and fresh unsalted real butter. We use Callebaut chocolate and Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Vanilla - considered to be the best vanilla available. We use fresh fruit when it's in season and quality eggs and nuts. Everything is made from scratch and we use absolutely no preservatives.
How much in advance do we need to place an order?
Often times we only need 24 hours. On occasion we can even do same day orders if you contact us early in the morning. We can always do orders when you give us at least 48 hours.
How does your delivery service work?
We hand deliver all of our deliveries. We deliver throughout the Denver metro area and can deliver in some of the farther out areas including Boulder and Castle Rock. It just costs a bit more to go there and we sometimes can't be as flexible as far as delivery date and time. There isn't a place on the order form for you to tell us when you would like the delivery made. We typically work out those details over email (maggieandmollys@comcast.net) or phone (303 594 1162). We are willing to leave deliveries on porches during the cool weather months but it's risky to do it during our crazy Colorado summer months (buttercream to "butter soup" in seconds!). If this is what you prefer, we just need your permission.
Can we pick up our order?
You sure can. We have a couple of options so just let us know if this is what you'd prefer to do and we'll arrange it.
Do you have a shop?
Yes...in our minds! Some day...that's the dream. Right now you're in our shop, this web site. We rent a commercial kitchen in west Denver with a group of other food entrepreneurs. BTW, if you have ideas where we should locate our bakery, let us know. We haven't figured that part out yet and would dig the input!
Do you ship out of state?
We can ship cookies and most breakfast items out of state. Unfortunately, we can't ship cupcakes, pies or cakes. If you want to ship, let us know and we can figure out the final charge. We typically use two day service through the post office or DHL and charge their cost plus approximately $2.00 for our packaging and handling. So, is what I see on this site all that you do?
Absolutely not. If you have a favorite cake, cookie, pie or pastry, give us a call or email us and we let you know if we can make it. Last year we made a traditional English pie that we'd never heard of and it was quite a success! Ah, the internet.

They're useless in the kitchen, dreadful in the office and serve very little purpose except to ease owner's stress level. Maggie & Molly are two of the owners cats and they pretty much eye candy and that's it! Our corporation is named after their brother, Dexter, who is in fact the boss of all of us!
